One side of the bridge on the border of Mohyliv-Podilskyi and the village of Nemyia is open

Avtostrada is overhauling a bridge over the Nemiya River, located on the border of the city of Mohyliv-Podilskyi and the village of Nemiya in the Vinnytsia region. The asphalt-concrete pavement is completely laid on the side in the direction of Mohyliv-Podilskyi and traffic is open.
A new monolithic overlay slab, deformation joints and waterproofing were installed. The project envisages widening the carriageway of the bridge from 6.4 m to 8 m. The construction of a pedestrian bridge from scratch is underway.

We have currently conducted the following works on the bridge:

  • arranged monolithic reinforced concrete supports;
  • installed a 30-meter-long metal girder structure;
  • mounted two of the four reinforced concrete beams of the girder structure;
  • installed plates.

The construction of a retaining wall on the approach to the pedestrian bridge from the side of the village was also completed. We are currently performing the next works, such as installing and dismantling the formwork for further concreting of the cantilever part of the road bridge, reinforcement and installation of the retaining wall formwork, installation of the railing of the pedestrian bridge. We plan to complete the whole complex of works on both bridges by the end of November.
The bridge over the river Nemia is located on the highway M-21 Vystupovychi - Zhytomyr - Mohyliv-Podilskyi, which passes through the territory of Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions and leads to the border with Moldova. In the Vinnytsia region this year, Avtostrada will repair 20 km of this road.
