Avtostrada will acquire 100% of Bekhivskii Granite Quarry
The Avtostrada group of companies will acquire 100% of the Bekhivskii granite quarry, and the deal will be closed by the end of May. The relevant permission was issued on May 13 by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
Crushed stone is one of the main materials used to build roads and bridges. Granite is considered to be the best option for construction, and the reliability of the coating depends on its quality. The use of quality gravel increases the durability of concrete structures and asphalt pavements by 2-3 times.
Bekhivskii granite quarry produces crushed stone products, which have a unique strength of more than 1200-1400 kGs / m3 and are frost resistant. Such indicators are the highest for Ukraine. Crushed stone also has the lowest class of radioactivity - the first and completely safe for humans. The company produces 20 types of fractions.
The quarry is located in the village of Bekhy, Korosten district, Zhytomyr region. The total area of the deposit is 52 hectares, and the mineral reserves are estimated at 20 million cubic meters with the possibility of a significant increase. The annual output of finished products is over 2 million tons. The powerful production base has modern production lines: KLEEMANN mobile crushing complex (Germany) and Metso stationary plant (Finland). The company also has its own railway line with a capacity of more than 150 cars per day.
The Avtostrada will now have its own unique raw material base, as well as a complete closed production cycle required for road and bridge construction of facilities of any complexity in the shortest possible time.
